Day 1
NOTICING THE MOMENT
Day 1 —
Reflection
NOTICING THE MOMENT.
Today is about noticing something that usually happens very quickly. It’s about beginning to see where the pattern actually begins.
Most of the time, when we ignore ourselves or dismiss what’s actually true for us, it doesn’t look dramatic. It happens in ordinary situations that seem too small to matter. And because they feel so normal, they often go unquestioned.
Yet over time, these small moments add up.
A life that feels aligned or misaligned is rarely the result of one big decision. It’s shaped by many small choices that happen almost automatically.
And one day, you wake up and feel that something’s off, even if you can’t name it and nothing actually looks obviously wrong.
That is why noticing matters.
Today, I Invite You to Reflect…
You don’t need to analyze or solve anything here. The intention is simply to recognize the pattern as it already exists.
— When do you most often stop listening to
yourself?
— When do you most ignore or dismiss what you
actually want or need?
— What does that internal negotiation usually
sound like?
— Are there situations where you say yes
automatically, before really checking in with
yourself?
— Where in your day do you tend to postpone
something that you know matters to you?
Today’s Practice
At some point today, notice one moment where you begin to negotiate with yourself.
This might look like:
— Saying yes faster than you intended
— Agreeing to something you didn’t actually want
— Softening your opinion to keep things smooth
— Answering “I’m fine” when you’re not
— Distracting yourself instead of staying with
what you’re feeling
— Offering help when you’re already at full
capacity
When that moment happens, pause just long enough to recognize it. You don’t need to change your response or correct yourself. Simply notice.
What Success Looks Like Today
You notice one moment and can say:
“Ohhh — this is where I usually stop listening to myself.”
For today, that’s enough.
